Mickle & Associates, P.A. Announces Strategic Shift in Accounting Software Standards

 

WAKE FOREST, NC — July 17, 2026 — Mickle & Associates, P.A. today announced a strategic update to its firm-wide client service policy regarding accounting software. Effective immediately, the firm will no longer accept new clients utilizing QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

This decision aligns with our commitment to providing the highest level of accounting precision, data integrity, and long-term financial stability for our clients. By focusing our practice on platforms that offer robust, local, and reliable data management, we can ensure a higher standard of service and protection for all our partners.

 

New Client Requirements

 

Moving forward, all new clients engaging with Mickle & Associates, P.A. will be required to utilize a legacy QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) product (2024 version or later) or enter an agreement to migrate their accounting and payroll systems to Drake Accounting. This ensures that new engagements are compatible with the stable, high-performance environments required for our rigorous tax and bookkeeping standards.

 

Support for Current Clients

 

We recognize that our current clients may rely on diverse platforms, and we are committed to a smooth transition. Current clients utilizing any QuickBooks Online product will continue to receive full support through May 1, 2027. After this date, support for all QuickBooks Online products will be fully terminated.
